The New Girls, Where Did They Go?
We’re guessing that by now, you’ll have noticed that both Anna and Layla, the ‘new girls’, have both been taken off the website.
They were both taken off for different reasons, and to avoid any speculation we thought we’d do a quick summing up in this post.
It was around three weeks ago that Layla joined us as one of our new girls, and even though we accepted the application, there were some doubts right from the start.
We had found out that she had previously worked for the ABC agency many years ago, and whilst that in itself is not a bad thing, some of the comments from the owner at the time – particularly the ones about some girls having ‘selective hearing’ problems – put us on the back foot.
Sure enough on the first weekend, we had a message through from ‘Layla’ saying ‘Take me off the website and DON’T CALL ME BACK EVER AGAIN!!!’.
Fair enough we thought, and she was sidelined and her page removed to the recycle bin.
The following Tuesday came around, and we had a message from Layla asking if there was any work?
The message that we received was read out to her, and she immediately blamed her 11yr old daughter who had borrowed her phone to play games, she had now removed us from her phone blacklist, and could we start again please?
So her page was retrieved from the recycle bin and put on show again.
Later that day, we tried to contact her regarding an appointment but no answer.
Apparently she was standing in the middle of the road trying to stop a driver getting away that had smashed into her car – which is why she only answered an hour later.
Finally, we tried to call her with a booking at 11am Saturday morning, but no answer after 60 (yes, sixty!) rings.
We eventually realised that Layla would only be answering the phone if it was convenient for her to go on a booking, no matter who came through in the meantime. So this time WE pulled the page and it is gone forever.
This one was quite surprising until we took a closer look at the circumstances, and it all became obvious where the problems lay.
Taken on as a new girl only last week, we were quite surprised to find that she was working at a beauty salon too, but she said that she would be available every day from 8pm to 2am.
Tonight she said that she would have to find another agency, as she needed at least two jobs every time she called on to pay the child minder.
We wish her all the best in her project, but she has now found the main problem with her application – being from Poland, she will need to run the gauntlet of many of the East European girls before her who have given the industry a bad name through being cold and calculated, and yet needing a conveyor belt of customers to pay the bills.
